LAS VEGAS (September 26, 2016) – PT’s Entertainment Group (PTEG), a division of Golden Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:GDEN) and the largest traditional tavern gaming operator in Nevada, has opened its newest location – SG Bar: Sierra Gold Elevated – on West Flamingo Road near the 215 Beltway. SG Bar is Golden Entertainment’s 52nd tavern in Nevada and the company’s 50th location in the Las Vegas Valley. The concept is a new brand for Golden Entertainment. The company – through PTEG – operates PT’s Pub, PT’s Gold, PT’s Ranch, PT’s Brewing Co., Sean Patrick’s and Sierra Gold. After extensive research and evaluation, SG Bar was created with new menu items and a beverage selection that expands far beyond the typical tavern offering. SG Bar offers a premium drink menu that includes a specialty program for Bourbon connoisseurs, and nine handcrafted signature cocktails, each of which is served in unique glassware made for that particular drink. SG Bar is home to a wine list with 30 different selections. SG Bar will offer 24 beers on tap, including seven varieties produced locally by Golden Entertainment’s PT’s Brewing Co., as well as other local craft beers. The menu includes new items exclusive to SG Bar, including salads, entrees, flatbread pizzas, and plates made for sharing amongst a group. SG Bar will also offer the popular menu selections guests of PTEG’s taverns have come to expect, including variety of hamburgers, sandwiches and appetizers. In addition to the food and beverage experience, SG Bar is decorated with unique, one-of-a-kind artwork specially chosen for the location. “We believe that Las Vegas locals are ready to embrace an elevated tavern experience. You can expect everything from unique food and beverage offerings to an exciting atmosphere not seen before in a local tavern,” said Blake L. Sartini II, senior vice president of distributed gaming for Golden Entertainment. “The idea behind SG Bar was to take our popular Sierra Gold brand to the next level.” The 7,500-square-foot SG Bar seats 118 guests inside the dining room. The spacious outdoor patio includes fire pits and comfortable seating for 60 to enjoy the Las Vegas evenings. The center bar area seats 30 and includes 15 video gaming machines that are sleek and uniquely designed. High-top seating is located throughout the dining areas. Mobile device charging stations are available at both the bar and dining tables. “SG Bar’s outdoor patio area will become a popular location with its inviting atmosphere welcoming guests during the Spring and Fall months,” Sartini said. SG Bar offers 33 high-definition televisions that can be viewed throughout the entire property. A separate board room adjacent to the main dining room seats up to 10 guests for private parties, family-style dining or special events including fantasy sports drafts and other gatherings. The room has two televisions and a wine cooler. SG Bar, located at 9580 West Flamingo Road, once housed the popular Sedona tavern, which closed last year. SG Bar has been given a complete renovation and makeover inside and outside by the designers at Golden Entertainment. SG bar will employ 50 team members. SG Bar’s menu was personally selected by Joe Romano, corporate vice president of food and beverage at Golden Entertainment. It includes a variety of small bites, entrees and share plates created exclusively for SG Bar. Salads include a Deconstructed Wedge and a Greek Gyro Salad. Big Plates include Mr. Khilnani’s Curry Chicken, Honey Mustard Glazed Salmon, Kobe Beef Burgers, Steaks and Fried Chicken. Sandwiches include a Carnitas Torte. Share plates include a variety of street tacos, Ahi Tuna Poke, Calamari and Clam Fry, Buffalo Chicken Dip, Baked Ricotta with Meatballs, Shrimp Scampi, and the Knife and Fork Slider. Romano said SB Bar offers the casualness of a tavern setting, but includes menu selections that can easily be divided among two or three guests. The wine list offers both bottles and specialty wines by the glass. “The large plate items, which we call ‘Apps Elevated,’ are meant to be shared by the table,” Romano said. “That idea encouraged us to introduce a specialty wine program that offers a variety of unique but reasonably priced wines. The beverage program includes ‘Large Format Drinks’ that serve up to five guests.” The nine specialty drinks include SG Bar’s signature versions of popular cocktails, including “Talkalot Chocolate Martini;” “Good Morning Mary;” “LVIT,” a Las Vegas take on a Long Island Ice Tea; the “Blueberry Caviar Margarita;” and “Elevated Mule.” Breakfast is also offered at SG Bar on a 24-hour basis. Items include a Breakfast Burrito with Chorizo and the SG Benedict. Gaming guests will be connected to Golden Entertainment’s Golden Rewards player loyalty program. The newly enhanced PTEG mobile app will offer rewards for SG Bar guests based on increased play. SG Bar is the fourth Las Vegas-area tavern opened by Golden Entertainment this year, following PT’s Gold at 1540 West Sunset Road, PT’s Ranch at 6450 South Durango Road, and PT’s Brewing Co. at 3101 North Tenaya Way. A fifth tavern, PT’s Gold, is scheduled to open in October on Lake Mead Boulevard near U.S. 95. SG Bar will be open 24/7. For additional information call 702-320-4700.
