PRESS RELEASES

LAS VEGAS (November 16, 2017) – PT’s Entertainment Group (PTEG) and Lyft Las Vegas want tavern guests to “Ride Safe” during the holidays.

The partnership between PTEG and Lyft encourages guests not to drink and drive, while benefiting the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation. PTEG introduced the program, now in its third year.

From Nov 22 through Jan. 1, PTEG will donate $1 to the foundation for every Lyft ride from one of the company’s 56 Southern Nevada taverns; PT’s Pub, PT’s Gold, PT’s Ranch, PT’s Brewing Co., Sean Patrick’s, Sierra Gold and SG Bar. Lyft has also agreed to contribute an additional $1 to the foundation for every ride taken from the taverns.

Drugs and alcohol factor into nearly half of all fatal traffic crashes in Clark County, according to FARS, the Fatal Analysis Reporting System. During the past 10 years, 35 percent of all traffic fatalities in Clark County were caused by alcohol-related crashes.

“Providing a safe ride alternative to and from our taverns has always been a top priority, and our partnership with Lyft has helped tremendously in that area,” said Ross Gdovin, vice president of marketing for Golden Entertainment. “The Ride Safe program was a tremendous success in our first two campaigns, and our goal this year is to create an even greater awareness.  Golden Entertainment looks forward to building upon an ongoing partnership with the LVMPD Foundation by helping to raise awareness related to all alcohol-related traffic incidents.”
“We continue to look for ways to improve the safety of our community by providing reasonable and safe alternatives, especially during the holiday party season,” said Yacob Girma, Lyft Las Vegas general manager. “We are proud to partner with PT’s Entertainment Group in support of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation and hope that this initiative will have a positive impact on the community at large.”

“The Ride Safe partnership helps to promote responsible driving during the holiday season while also raising funds so we can continue to provide updated equipment and advanced officer training for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, support for families of fallen officers, higher education scholarships and more,” said Tom Kovach, executive director of the LVMPD Foundation. “It aligns perfectly with our mission which is to support programs that make our community a safer place to live, work and visit – like our Every 15 Minutes program that helps to raise awareness about distracted driving.”
